This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the worlds best known organisations. They are looking for someone to provide specialist support to their major Database systems and contribute to projects in service delivery. The department is responsible for supporting all applications, desktop, system platforms, networks and telecoms. The department provide 2nd tier 24/ 7 support for the core operating systems & networks. This role will be to provide Systems Administration and Support on their central business system based on UNIX, Linux and Oracle. You will also monitor, implement, make changes, solve complex problems relating to the system or network along with SLAs. You will liaise with the Service Desk about issues that have been referred. You will propose improvements & longer term fixes to improve performance. Undertake complex scripting or coding to correct problems. Perform disc management and complete documentation in line with departmental ITIL. You will need indepth UNIX understanding and its underlying architecture, ITIL literate. You must demonstrate ability to undertake maintenance & resolution in a Systems Support environment. Excellent role to put on your CV - offering up to £35,000 + great benefits.
